Summer Camp Teacher
Must have an up to date Alabama Teaching Certificate and have a valid Driver’s License
Hours: Monday through Friday of select sessions from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.
Position Summary: The Summer Camp Teacher is responsible for leading campers and activities enrolled in the GBHS Critter Camp.

The sessions we need covered for teachers are: June 10-14, June 24-28, July 15-19, and July 29 – Aug 2. All of these sessions work with ages 10-13. It can be one person for all four weeks or split into multiple people if needed.
Compensation: Contract employee at $600 per week.
WorkEnvironment
This work is performed in a high noise level area. Exposure to industrial cleaning chemicals, fumes, dust, animal feces, zoonotic (human to animal) diseases, bites and scratches. Weekend shifts may be required. Safety procedures must be adhered to at all times. Must beable to work with and around animals of all types (cats, dogs, rabbits, birds,etc.).Exposure to conditions such asanimal feces, urine, etc. and foul odors.May be exposed to animal dander, parasites and infectious diseases thancan be carried and transmitted by animals.Must be able to work in an environment that provides humane euthanasiato animals.
