Coast to Coast Distribution. is membership-only retail warehouse focusing on convenience store member sales but open to the public. Coast to Coast Distribution sells most of its merchandise in bulk and directly off pallets. The storefront is arranged like a warehouse, with merchandise stocked in warehouse-style steel bins. Products sold include all consumer packaged goods (CPG Products) that you would find in a convenience store. Responsibilities:::
  • Receive product in using WMS (warehouse management system)
  • Operating a reach truck forklift;
  • Palletizing products;
  • Inventory management;
  • Using an RF scanner;
  • Ensure orders are processed in accordance with our customer service standards;
  • Other tasks as assigned;
  • Transporting all products and materials;
  • Verify products, quantities, and order numbers correctly;
  • Move freight safety throughout the warehouse;
  • Operation reach truck;
  • Stacking products throughout warehouse as needed;
  • Staging pallets;
  • Transporting product safely through the warehouse;
  • Storing pallets on warehouse shelves.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:::
  • Operator of a Stand-Up Reach Forklift, who “puts away” product in the refrigerator/cooler in the correct locations;
  • Able to work independently;
  • Great communication skills;
  • All employees may be required to work occasional weekends, i.e. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If requested there are No Exceptions;
  • Must have previous experience driving reach trucks;
  • Working in a refrigerator/freezer for 8 hours or more per day.
Job Skills:
  • Must be comfortable with heights of 25’-30’
  • Strong knowledge of store receiving, accounting, and distribution procedures and policies.
  • Working knowledge and application of all WFM (Workforce Management) quality goals, food handling, safety, and other standards.
  • Used radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, ‘put away’, and load functions, as required.
  • Ability to educate team on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.
  • Knowledge and ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, RF Scanners, and Made4net.
  • Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures, effective time management and organization skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Understanding of and compliance with WFM quality goals.
Experience:
  • 12 months working in a distribution or receiving related environment preferred.
  • Licensed to use a reach truck, man-up, forklift, cherry picker, and scissor lift preferred.
  • 12 months operating Crown's man-up forklifts and working with high-bay rack storage applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain excellent operator visibility, precise controls, and fast lift and lower speeds to help ensure productive and safe material movements at heights of up to 30’.

What you'll do...:

Maintains safety of facility according to company policies and procedures by using safety lifting techniques when assisting customers load and unload large items form their cart to their vehicle, conducting safety sweeps; following forklift spotting procedures; following procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials; and correcting and reporting unsafe situations to facility management.

Maintains the Sales Floor and merchandise presentation in the warehouse in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns; zoning the area; receiving and stocking merchandise; setting up, cleaning, disposing of waste and organizing product displays; removing damaged goods; signing and pricing merchandise appropriately; completing required audits, paperwork, logs, and other required documentation; and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise. Provides Member service by acknowledging the Member and identifying their needs; locating merchandise and assisting with purchasing decisions; resolving issues and concerns; and promoting the Company's products and services.
