Ability to operate and maintain Steel Plate Roll equipment and machinery used in the manufacturing processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under supervision operates all equipment within the manufacturing process applicable to the department.
• Participate in pre- and post-planned readiness of parts and tools, prepare for planned maintenance activities.
• Product types include Cylinders, Half Cylinders, Weld pads. Materials vary from thin gage up to 2" thick.
• Putting a flat sheet of steel into a plate roller and controlling the machine to roll plate.
• Roll cylinders
• Ensure operations of equipment by completing preventive maintenance
• Participate with installation activities of components as directed by lead man.
• Participate in housekeeping activities as directed by lead.
• Assist departmental team members with completion of job functions as directed by the lead man and/or Production Supervisor.
• Follow company guidelines for creating a safe work environment, have complete knowledge of company safety policies (EX: PROPER USE OF MACHINES AND HAND TOOLS AND THE PURPOSE OF SAFETY DEVICES).

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

• Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to operate CAT Dozers, Scrapers, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, ETC..
• Must possess skill, coordination, and awareness to operate heavy equipment (as listed above) in safe manner with precision and efficiency.
• Ability to travel to project sites.
• Reading plans, layout experience, GPS and laser controlled machine experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment daily inspections/maintenance
