Job Title:IT Systems AdministratorPosition Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our organization's IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT systems administration, with expertise in managing servers, networks, and supporting software applications. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT environment, while also providing technical support to end-users. If you are an initiative-taking problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for technology, we encourage you to apply.Primary Duties:Oversees and ensures the optimal functioningof all physical and virtual servers, including server-based and cloud-based applications and services such as email systems, web filtering, and directory services management, along with backup and restoration processes.Installs, configures, and maintainsvoice/VoIP systems, storage networks, backup systems, firewalls, and wired/wireless network infrastructure, ensuring up-to-date technology and efficient operations.Supports user account management , including local Active Directory, Entra ID, cloud-connected services, file access permissions, email security, and desktop systems management.Acts as a higher-level support tierfor the IT Help Desk, assisting in the resolution of complex workstation and application issues.Collaborate with other IT team members and stakeholdersto implement innovative solutions and other initiatives.Contributes to the development and documentationof server and network management procedures, backup strategies, and business continuity plans, ensuring thorough and tested processes.Adopts industry-standard best practicesandrobust network security protocolsto safeguard information systems while maintaining high system availability and reliability.Ensures compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices , actively participating in the maintenance and enhancement of information security, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements, and implementing measures to protect the organizations digital assets.Education:An associate degree in an information technology-related field and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:3 years or experience with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, and TCP/IP3 years or experience with managing Windows 2012-2019 servers, and Active DirectoryStrong knowledge of VMware, Veeam Backup solutions, server hardware and iSCSI storage arraysStrong knowledge of Firewall management and network routingStrong knowledge of Cisco networks, with Layer-3 network architectureExperience with supporting Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and Microsoft Office productsExcellent customer service skills with strong interpersonal skillsStrong technical troubleshooting and analytical skillsTeam player in a collaborative environmentStrong work ethic and ability to self-motivateAbility to organize, multi-task and prioritize workTechnical aptitude with a focus on continuous learning and developmentKnowledge of Information Security concepts and terminologyAble to work non-standard hours as necessary (nights, weekends, holidays)Some travel between local facilities is required.
