Job Title: Accountant Department: Finance

Reports to: Accounting Manager FLSA (Exempt / Non Exempt): Exempt

Job Summary: GPI is seeking an accountant to manage cash applications and other AR processes, as well as contribute to general accounting and month-end close processes as needed. This position will work with customers and collaborate with team members around the company to accomplish departmental objectives.

Job Details:

• Own and manage cash applications and other assigned AR processes:
  1. Apply cash receipts to customer accounts timely and accurately, including reconciling and resolving payment deductions and discrepancies
  2. Review and process returns and resulting AR credits
  3. Process other AR adjustments as needed
  4. Assist with research and resolution of open aged AR
• Manage sales commissions to outside distribution representatives
• Track and provide analysis of distributor programs 
• Support month-end accounting close process and assist in producing financial reports
• Field adhoc reporting and analysis requests
• Participate in annual audit
• Provide backup support for other accounting responsibilities

Job Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience with MS Office suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work successfully within a collaborative team environment
• Demonstrated personal motivation with a focus to complete assigned goals

Preferred

• 1-2 years’ experience in similar corporate environment
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Prior experience with ERP systems including reporting
• Experience with Cloud Suite Industrial (Syteline) and Jet Reports

Job Requirements:

Physical: 

• Ability lift up to 20lbs
• Work at computer station in an office environment
• Standard office equipment

Working Conditions: primary - 1st shift office environment at desk and limited walking on shop floor.
