Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. This is a full-time position located in our clinic.
Duties:
- Perform medication administration under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Utilize your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist with patient examinations and procedures
- Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance forms
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology to accurately document patient information
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent customer service
- Assist with basic life support measures when necessary
- Educate patients on proper inhalation techniques for prescribed medications
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Strong understanding of medical procedures, terminology, and protocols
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Proficiency in basic life support techniques
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred but not required
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable but not required
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
