Great Oaks Legacy Charter Schools is Hiring a Talent Team Graduate Intern Near Newark, NJ

Great Oaks Legacy is seeking a Graduate Intern to join the Talent team! This internship would be for a minimum of three (3) months and is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite and 1 days remote. Typical hours are 9 am-1 pm and the hourly rate is $20/hr for an experienced candidate.

Internship Overview

The Talent Team Graduate Intern will serve as an integral member of the GOLCS talent team. The Talent Intern will support the hiring and retention of high-quality staff by conducting talent data collection and managing talent-related special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Talent to create and maintain a set of talent dashboards and other data-informed processes that help drive talent-specific decision-making across the organization 
  • Manage the team-wide data processes related to the talent team’s shared goals by creating reports and delivering data-driven recommendations to continuously improve talent processes. 
  • Execute job postings and maintain a system to manage and track job postings while maintaining the job board strategy in collaboration with the Director of Talent
  • Actively sources, screens, interviews, and manages a candidate pipeline of high-quality staff candidates as a member of the talent team

Qualifications

  • Strong diagnostic, data analysis, and synthesis/reporting abilities; Ability to proactively make data-driven recommendations
  • Familiarity with the Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System or prior experience with another applicant tracking system
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with project management expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Minimum of 2 years of recruiting or human resources experience preferred. Experience working in a charter school or educational setting is strongly preferred
  • Excellent presentation skills, and ability to communicate in written, visual, and verbal format.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in systems implementation and ongoing enhancement
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of products, and ability to learn and use computer information systems adeptly.
  • Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets and comfortable with pivot tables, basic formulas, and synthesizing insights from data
  • Successfully completes required criminal history proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.

Reporting Relationship

  • The Talent Intern reports to the Director of Talent and is an integral member of the Talent team.
