Great Oak Counseling: Licensed Counselor
Great Oak Counseling is looking to add a licensed counselor to our growing practice. As an agency committed to client centered care, we specialize in trauma informed care and working with couples.
The person we are looking for is fully licensed (LPC, LCSW, MSW, LMFT, Psychologist) in their own discipline.
Great Oak Counseling counselors are ambitious, creative, thoughtful and dedicated practitioners. We are dedicated to creating an environment that people can feel comfortable in the process of receiving treatment and support for their mental health and relationships.
You would be a good fit at Great Oak if you align with our Core Values:
Ambitious Problem Solver - Go Getter:
We are self motivated and relentlessly pursue self and organizational improvement. We do what we commit to and when we commit to it, without excuses. What we do, we do well. And consistently strive to improve. When confronted with problems we resolve to be problem solvers, and relentlessly pursue solutions.
Interdependent - No person is an island:
Teamwork and collaboration are key to our success and effectiveness. We want our team to have a natural inclination toward helping. We are willing to help, so long as that help promotes growth. When helping stunts growth, it isn’t help.
Growth Focused - Persistent…not Perfect:
There is always an anticipation of human error and we have the ability to help nurture and grow people. We own our success and our shortcomings. There is room for error but only with accountability. We openly address problems to avoid resentment and unhealthy interpersonal and work relationships.
Room at the Table:
There is room and space for all people. You must have a commitment to growth, promote wellbeing and have respect for all.
The successful counselor candidate should be available to see 27 - 32 clients on a weekly basis, with availability for some evening availability each week.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to cultivate her/his own caseload through a focus on interagency collaboration and representing Great Oak Counseling through outreach and nurturing relationships with both clients and the community.
