Great Lakes Toyota Subaru is Hiring an Used Car Technician Near Findlay, OH

Great Lakes Toyota/Subaru is an established automotive dealership dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers! We are currently seeking a skilled Used Car Technician to join our team and contribute to our continued success. As a Used Car Technician at Great Lakes, you will play a crucial role in our operations by performing comprehensive inspections, maintenance, and repairs on pre-owned vehicles. Your attention to detail and expertise will ensure that our customers receive vehicles that are safe, reliable, and in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify and document any issues or needed repairs.

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of makes and models, including but not limited to engine diagnostics, brake systems, suspension, and electrical systems.

  • Ensure all work is performed efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.

  • Accurately estimate repair costs and communicate findings to the Service Manager.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

  • Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues as needed.

  • Collaborate with other team members to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, technology, and repair techniques through continuous training and development.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of Service Technician experience minimum. Base pay is determined by experience.

  • C level qualifications (at a minimum), including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
