Great Lakes Ear Nose & Throat is a growing, fast paced medical practice. We are looking for someone special to join our work family. Maintains strict confidentiality and enjoys a team-oriented work environment to help facilitate the smooth, efficient and professional care of the patient. Duties include:

• Obtains precertification/preauthorization from Insurance companies prior to surgery.
• Counsels patients pre-operatively regarding their potential financial obligations and provides information regarding insurance coverage.
• Discuss pre-operative instructions with the patient as directed by physician
• Assists with setting up payment plans
• Manages all aspects of physicians surgery schedule.
• Schedules operating room time, faxes H&P to hospital admitting Dept or ASC.
• Schedules pre-operative tests and blood work.
• Collect and post surgical deposits
• Coordinates all business and clinical paperwork prior to surgery.
• Maintains clear, direct & timely communication among the physician, patient, insurance company and hospital at all times.
• Maintains patient confidentiality, complies with HIPPA and compliance guidelines.
• Maintains knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job function.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the physician and/or manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
