Senior Site Supervisor Substitute - GLCAP Varies on need; Fremont, Clyde or Gibsonburg

Summary: In the absence of the Senior Site Supervisor, oversees the daily operations of the assigned senior program site in compliance with funding source and contract requirements, state and local regulations, and policies and procedures.

Education:
Required High school diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED); Must obtain ODH Level I in Food Protection as a Basic Handler Certification within three months.
Experience:
One to three years experience in food service, working with seniors, social services or related experience and one to three years experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, internet, and database software; prefer one to three years supervisory experience.
As a condition of employment, the following are additional requirements:
  1. Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver's license, and maintain a safe driving record.
  2. Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.
  3. Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
  4. Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Greet seniors and guests, provide a site tour and overview of activities, newsletter and menu.
  2. Maintain documentation.
  3. Document reservations, order meals and supplies, verify all meal components are received, document temperature at time of receipt, ensure hot/cold holding so that meals are at appropriate temperature at time of service.
  4. Ensure dining room is set for meal service, monitor and enforce appropriate portioning of food items, serve ; ensure proper left-over procedures, food storage and sanitation rules are followed.
  5. Implement education, socialization, exercise, recreational and health related activities for senior's.
  6. Supervise and assist volunteers.
  7. Calculate contributions; make daily deposits of funds.
  8. Maintain the cleanliness of the site including dining room and kitchen cleanup after meals, sweeping and mopping completed.
