DescriptionJOB SUMMARYSummary/ObjectivesThe Installation Coordinator is to handle all aspects of the installation process associated with a store. This includes scheduling, handling complaints and claims and otherwise being responsible for dealing with contract installers. In addition, this individual is responsible for communicating with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Essential FunctionsThe Installation Coordinator has the following specific responsibilities:
  • Maintain a schedule for installation jobs.
  • Meet regularly with installers to review procedures which must be followed in order to perform work for Great Floors.
  • Review customer claims and complaints and supervise their resolution with installers and/or manufacturers.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings with other store department heads for the purpose of monitoring and improving store performance.
  • Promote customer relations by ensuring that entire installation staff interacts professionally with customers.
  • Ensure that safety procedures and practices are followed by all members of the installation staff.
Standards of PerformanceThe Installation Coordinator Will Be Deemed To Be Performing In a Satisfactory Manner When The Following Criteria Have Been Met Or Exceeded
  • Installations are accurately scheduled and customers communicated with in a professional manner regarding the schedule
  • Staff members are supervised in such a manner that they perform quickly and efficiently with a minimum of slack time and/or overtime
  • Interaction with support staff and salespeople is such that the entire store operates at a high level of efficiency
  • Customer complaints are handled in a professional manner
  • A list of qualified installers is maintained and installers properly assigned to jobs within their area of competence
Competencies
  • Basic computer skills needed to review orders and verify inventory
  • Can effectively communicate with, direct, coordinate and control the activities of personnel related to the installation process
  • Able to interface with installers and all other store personnel
  • Ability to communicate with customers both by phone and in person
  • Good organizational and scheduling skills
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • This position has NO supervisory responsibilities.
RequirementsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • A minimum three (3) years installation, administration, or equivalent experience
Preferred Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Computer skills as may be required to operate the industry specific software required to deal with orders, run required reports and perform all other tasks as required.
  • Proficient in typing, data entry and the operation of all required office equipment.
  • Able to work effectively and professionally with all store customers including retail, commercial and builder.

  • Standing, walking, sitting, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching, and turning as required to operate equipment, interface with staff and customers, and oversee operations.
  • Use of all body senses to perform computer data entry, answer phones, and communicate with staff, customers, installers and vendor representatives.
  • Must follow company policy with regard to dress and otherwise maintain a professional appearance.
