This position will learn and own key accounting, research, and analysis responsibilities, work directly with vendors and franchisees, and has great growth opportunity!
On your journey, you will:
·Become the subject matter expert and responsible for the operations of the Great Clips gift card program, and hold the relationship with our Gift Card vendor, SVS. This position will allow you to communicate and work directly with our franchisee community, becoming a trusted resource to them and the team. You will assist franchisees with set-up, questions, and issues related to the program. Provide back-end support for gift card adjustments or replacements. Maintain accurate franchisee records within our vendor systems. Perform accounting journal entries and provide analysis related to gift card sales and redemptions, assist in fraud protection measures, and aid in policy and procedures. ·Lead the Fixed Assets function for GCI’s corporate results using the Sage Fixed Asset System to ensure accurate recording of assets, assets in process, and depreciation for internal and tax books. Prepare schedules, reports, and general ledger entries related to monthly depreciation, disposals, and like-kind exchanges.·Prepare journal entries, bank and other month-end reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of accounting records for assigned accounts. Monitor all changes in the corporate and training center insurance plans to ensure proper coverage. Reconcile related insurance monthly accrual. Prepares year-end schedules and assists in annual audit.·Demonstrate an ability to listen, earn trust, and accept direct feedback from franchisees while building strong, positive relationships.·Opportunity to learn and take on more responsibilities such as treasury related items, help support our in salon payment solutions, or be involved in our insurance program. Our corporate headquarters are in Bloomington, MN. Our approach to work environment focuses on the balance between teamwork and flexibility. We have a hybrid work environment that brings together the benefits of both working from home and coming into the office twice a week. Wednesdays are required in office days with your other day the choice of coming in either Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. Our office has lots of natural light, hydraulic desks for standing or sitting and many other amenities so we are sure you will enjoy your time here as well as the flexibility to work remotely. Your position may require the infrequent need to travel for occasional events.
