GREASE MONKEY INTERNATIONAL is Hiring a Retail Operations and Emissions Manager Near Greenwood, CO

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Reports To: Senior Vice President, Store Operations

Department: Retail Operations


Summary/Objective

The Retail Operations and Emissions Manager is responsible for oversite of the FullSpeed Automotive Emissions program. This position is responsible for ensuring that state-required emission testing procedures are being followed accurately within retail operations of Fullspeed Automotive. This includes oversite of compliance with emissions testing standards in states where FSA has retail operations, compliance with FSA policies, and maintaining accurate and timely emissions records. This role also involves onsite verification of compliance, identifying potential or actual instances of theft or fraud, and ensuring employee accountability with the emissions program. The Retail Operations and Emissions Manager will conduct in-store audits, review emissions records, and will partner with various departments to ensure program compliance.


Essential Functions:

Emissions, Inspections and Reporting:

  • Oversee Licensing and Permitting for emissions
  • Resolve Inspections/Emissions Violations
  • Pay for TX inspector license applications and 8149 Car wash payments
  • Assist accounting with coding inspections related to charges that are on bank autodraft
  • Order items for inspection stations
  • Add inspectors to Paycom
  • UT emissions station renewals
  • UT inspector renewals
  • Assist with GA station renewals
  • TX inspection station renewals odd years
  • TX inspector renewals even years
  • Provide Inspector Reports to field and FSA Leadership

6. Safety:

  • In conjunction with Risk and HR, maintain, coordinate, and enact site safety programs while ensuring safety policies, protocols, and procedures are maintained in line with FullSpeed Automotive's safety policies, protocols, and procedures, as well as those of local, State, and Federal
  • Understand local, State, and Federal guidelines regarding emergency procedures and reporting hazardous waste and contamination

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience,
  • Communication Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Answer and respond to calls, texts, emails from CM’s/DMs/RMs.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Work from home but ability to travel as required
    • Willingness to work in a variety of external weather and temperature conditions (if applicable)
    • Lead and adhere to FSA Guiding Principles
  • Evaluate shop operations:
    • Assess the effectiveness of shop emissions operations,
    • Adherence to safety protocols, and overall efficiency.
    • Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions to resolve deficiencies
    • Collaborate with the ROP shop management team to implement policies and processes that optimize operations and ensure seamless workflow.
  • Document findings:
    • Prepare comprehensive reports that detail audit findings, including identified non-compliance, fraud, theft, discrepancies, and potential risks.
    • Document recommendations to address identified issues and suggest strategies to prevent future inaccuracies or fraudulent activities.
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure that all records are properly organized and securely stored.
  • Support internal control processes:
    • Assist in developing and improving internal control procedures to prevent theft, fraud, and non-compliance within the shops.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the shop management team to address audit findings and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Communicate audit results to management, bringing attention to critical issues and suggesting measures to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments, including HR, Loss Prevention, and Legal, to ensure alignment and adherence to company-wide policies.
  • Other duties as assigned


Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge of state-specific regulations, emissions testing, and record keeping
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders.


Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to effectively manage stress, multiple deadlines, and ambiguity.
  • Ability to travel, on short notice, with overnight stays to access company’s properties.
  • Must be able to up to lift fifteen pounds at times.
