Regional Safety Manager Job Summary:
GRAYMAR is looking to employ a qualified and competent Regional Safety Manager (RSM) who will be primarily responsible to monitor, audit, report, and enhance safe practices within our facilities and on project sites. In addition, the RSM will provide training of our operational personnel and essential clients in GRAYMAR’s Pacific-Northwest (PNW) work areas of WA & OR: Spokane, Moses Lake, Pasco, Auburn, and Troutdale.
Residency in Washington or northern Oregon is required due to the consistent travel between our (5) GRAYMAR - PNW offices and their work sites.

Duties/ Responsibilities:
· Monitor the remediation/removal of biological, physical, or chemical hazards from worksites and office locations.
· Provide effective safety training for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures
· Advise GRAYMAR’s response teams and management on safety issues and compliance in specific projects and operations
· Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations, especially Washington Titles 296-xxx and Oregon Chapters 437-xxx
· Maintain accurate and current records and documentation in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other guidelines
· Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies in order to introduce changes that lead to a safer environment for GRAYMAR employees
Education and Experience:
· A bachelor’s degree in environmental, health, or safety or a related field that shows an understanding of safety, security, or emergency management
· In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
· Minimum 5 years direct experience in an Occupational Safety and Health Program Management or HazMat, Hazwoper, Emergency Response or Compliance
· Continuous coursework/certifications in safety, hazardous materials, i.e., OSHA500/501, SSHO, Hazwoper/HazMat/ASP, ISO45001, or NSC & NFPA certifications and associated safety training showing continual learning.
· Train-the-Trainer coursework/certifications
· Strong people skills
· Ability to train and teach others in needed safety, hazard awareness, and risk assessment
· Great attention to detail
· Critical-thinking skills including but not limited to keen observation, analysis, inference, communication, and problem solving.
· Ability to explain technical concepts in terms than connect with recipient.
· Excellent organizational skills and time management processes
