Gray & Osborne Consulting Engineers is Hiring an IT DIRECTOR Near Seattle, WA

PROFILE OF COMPANY:

Gray & Osborne has provided professional engineering services to public agencies throughout Washington State since 1935. We specialize in the planning, design, and construction management of water, sewer, stormwater, transportation, and utility systems. The opening is in our Seattle office located at 1130 Rainier Avenue S., Suite 300.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary responsibilities inslude the following:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organization's objectives.
  • Perform the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure, including five remote offices.
  • Ensure the security of IT systems and data through the implementation of appropriate security measures and protocols.
  • Manage and lead IT support in six offices, including training and performance management.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions and support.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for their adoption where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, partners, and service providers.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide on-call support after-hours and on weekends to address urgent issues/emergencies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior IT management role with 10 years' experience in the IT field.
  • Experience working with on premise networks including Microsoft Hyper-V Infrastructure, Microsoft SQL zServer, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Adobe ColdFusion, IIS, Active Directory, DNS, SSL, DMARC, Email/Network/Internet security.
  • Experience with wide area networks including MPLS, SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki Routers, Riverbed WAN optimization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Understanding of data security principals and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with architecture/engineering firms preferred.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits. The anticipated salary range for this position (including year-end bonus) is $120,000 to $200,000 per year, depending upon experience. Benefits include 401K retirement plan (with employer profit-sharing contribution), medical, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, 8 paid holidays and paid time off starting at 20 days per year.
