Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2022-2023 school year:
Riverside Elementary
Educational Assistant- Special Education- Site Based- PALS
(2 positions available)
Hours TBD; 16-21 hours weekly
DESCRIPTION: The PALS classroom is a site-based program for elementary-aged students with significant challenges due to Autism Spectrum Disorder. This classroom is an ORPATS (Oregon Regional Program Autism Training Site) site and staff receives extra training and support in the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies including: Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), and Functional Routines (FR). Our students require visual instruction methods including: visual schedules, visual communication strategies (icon exchange), and structured environments.
The successful candidate will have:
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $17.04-$24.61 per hour. Dependent on experience/education.
