Grant Park Coffeehouse in Atlanta, GA is looking for a full time supervisor & baker to join our close-knit team. We are located on 337 Georgia Avenue in the beautiful neighborhood of Grant Park! Just a block from the Atlanta Zoo, our coffee shop sees plenty of tourists and regulars alike. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves to interact with customers, is reliable and passionate about what they do, and who can stay motivated when working independently.

About the Role

Our owner bakes all of our pastries fresh every morning, and we're looking for someone who can lend a hand with that as well as other BOH duties. Typical shifts would begin around 5:30am, but in instances where the baker is filling in for our owner or covering special orders, this person may need to come in as early as 3:00am. Daily baking of muffins, scones, breakfast pastries, and more would be followed up with running our breakfast service in BOH. We currently offer a small menu of breakfast sandwiches & burritos made to order, but are looking to expand this in the future. While we do have a lunch menu, our breakfast service & pastries are the backbone of our business! We strive to offer fresh and delicious food to pair with our gourmet coffee. As a full-time member of our team, this individual would be a keyholder for the business and help to maintain the standards the Owner and General Manager set.

Responsibilities

• Work with the General Manager to maintain business standards
• Follow recipes as directed by our Owner to create baked goods
• Learn and execute our breakfast menu
• Occasionally train and coach other members of BOH staff
• Delegate daily food prep tasks
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service
• Monitor inventory and communicate needs with the General Manager and Owner

Pay Scale

• Starting at $14.00 up to $16.00 base pay, dependent on relevant experience
• Additional compensation in the form of tip-out from daily service (average of $5.00/hour or more)
• Up to 40 hours/week are available

• Short walk from King Memorial Station, bus stop in front of business
• Free street parking 24/7
• Note: some early shifts will begin before MARTA is operational, and candidates are required to have reliable transportation for all shifts.
