A YMCA Gymnastics Team Coach represents the YMCA as a team leader in gymnastics. The primary responsibility is to provide a safe, educational and enjoyable gymnastics class to participants of a variety of ages. Gymnastics Team practices will be based on USA-Gymnastics Xcel and JO program. Primary job will be working with the Level 3-4 and Xcel gymnasts building skills, drills and conditioning to improve all levels of gymnastics.Plan structured competitive team activities to stimulate the growth and development of participants utilizing YMCA values and the character development initiativeEffectively communicate between staff, parents and team members.Attend trainings, meetings and special functions as assigned by supervisor including the annual in-service day, held on Veterans Day.Maintains a safe environment; responsible for the supervision of their students within the class structure.May be asked to teach instructional preschool and school age gymnastics classes.
