TheTavern/ Crossing Nines Event Captain reports to the Tavern and Crossing NinesEvent Sales & Operations Manager and is responsibleforassisting theTavern and Crossing Nines with event execution by serving as an Event Captain.
Responsibilities&Accountability
·Read and review Banquet Event Order (BEO) with serviceteam prior to the start of the event. Assign set-up tasks to staff.
·Neaten and organize event equipment and linens.
·Maintain quality of event equipment. Report worn orbroken equipment to superiors.
·Manage execution of event service, including timelineadherence, throughout entirety of event.
·Manage clean up and equipment storage after each eventand set up the next event for success.
·Performotherdutiesandtasks,asneeded.
·Ensuresallrecordsareenteredaccuratelyintoappropriatesoftware.
·Complete and submit a writtenrecap of each event.
·Complete an average of (4) Office Hours a week toaccomplish tasks not limited to: Printing, Organizing, Equipment Cleaning.
·Three to Five(3-5)yearsofexperiencein a high-volume restaurantor event service setting as a server or bartender.
·Abilitytoworkindependentlyandinateamsetting.
·Flexibility:abletoworkvaryingshiftsincludingevenings,weekendsandholidays,asneeded.
·Abilitytobuildstrongrelationshipswithclientstounderstandtheirneeds.
·Commitmenttocustomersatisfactionwithaguest-focusedattitude.
·Organizationandattentiontodetail.
·Strongwritten,verbal,andinterpersonalcommunicationskills.
·Professional appearance.
·Experience in the use of computers for wordprocessing, data entry, email, and other basic administrativefunctions,withtheability tolearntouseanysoftwarewhichmaybeusedatthefacility.
