Granite Credit Union is Hiring a Loan processor Near Millcreek, UT

Job Title : Indirect Loan Processor

Location : Main Branch - Consumer Lending Department

Status : Full-Time (40-hours a week)

Supervisor : Consumer Loan Manager

Position Purpose

Responsible for verifying loan documentation received from auto dealerships participating in the Credit Union's Indirect lending program, funding loans for the members and auto dealerships, and completes file maintenance for each loan in the core system.

Contributes to the organization's value by assisting with the process of adding assets to the Credit Union's portfolio. Works directly with members and auto dealerships.

Essential Duties, Skills & Abilities

  • Exhibit outstanding member services skills by applying Granite Credit Union Core Values.
  • Performs duties related to processing and funding of Indirect consumer lending products.
  • Reviews documentation to ensure it corresponds with loan application; confirms the accuracy of member information, conducts a comprehensive review of income verification, loads data in Loan Origination System, and funds in accordance with loan officer's instructions / stipulations.

Work directly with Indirect Auto dealers to communicate loan stipulations and funding.

  • Accepts incoming calls from vendors, dealerships, and external and internal members. Answers questions and provides information related to loan processing and loan funding.
  • Completes telephone interview / verification of Indirect applicants and collateral along with verification of physical damage insurance coverage for the financed vehicle.
  • Input loan data and complete file maintenance in the core system.
  • Adheres to all auditing procedures designed to document the lending process and provide the proper checks and balances.
  • Ensure that all information and transactions regarding credit union members are kept confidential. Maintain the security of the work area and keep it organized and neat in appearance.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Promote a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Basic computer operating skills such as email, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Performs other job duties as

Required Knowledge

One year of similar or related lending experience.

Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations.

One year of experience with dealership lending (preferred).

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
