Granite City Electric Supply has been the leading independent electrical supply distributor in the New England region for over 100 years, and we are looking for a professional Non-CDL Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team in East Taunton, MA! You will start out driving for the summer months and transition into the warehouse in the fall while being the back-up / emergency Driver on as needed basis.

The Granite City Driver will load trucks, drive to customer locations, unload, and deliver products in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.

Candidate will maintain vehicle in good condition and ensure paperwork is current and accurate. He / she will provide superior customer service, delivering products on time, accurately and professionally.

Compensation for this position starts at an hourly rate of $24.00. Candidates must be flexible in schedules as Warehouse Ops hours may vary.

While working in Warehouse candidates can expect a shift of 8 : 00AM 4 : 30PM. Eventually this role is expected to transition to full time Driving as the business needs grow.

Essential Functions / Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and unexpired Medical DOT Card.
• Deliver material to customers in an efficient and safe manner.
• Conduct pre & post trip inspections.
• Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, Medical DOT Card.
• Ensure truck is in safe operating condition, looks clean and professional, and adheres to DOT regulations.
• Effectively communicate with internal customers, such as Sales and Operations associates to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide feedback to the supervisors to maintain efficiency in driving routes.
• Acquires and maintains current knowledge of GCE policies and procedures, participates in training, and attends meetings as requested.
• Must be professional at all times and have a professional appearance.
• Follow all SOPs for the position, maintain high order accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Performs any and all other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s) or Regional Operations Manager.

• Electrical or construction knowledge is a plus.

• Ability to walk / stand / sit for up to 10 hours at a time.

Education and Experience

• Education and experience
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak English, bi-lingual a plus.
• Must have 1-3 years professional driving experience.
• Knowledge and experience with forklift operations and warehouse equipment preferred.
• Eclipse software experience preferred; computer aptitude is necessary.
• Equivalent education or experience may be substituted for any of the above.
• Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, Medical DOT Card.
