Job Type: Hospital Imaging - Full Time 7 on / 7off Days

Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL, is responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment. The role involves locating, evaluating, and recording critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment.
• Locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
• Schedule and coordinate tests, ensuring efficient and accurate procedures.
• Record and maintain test results and operational logs.
• Calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Order necessary supplies to support ongoing operations.
• Ensure compliance with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.

Qualifications:

• Two-year allied health degree preferred
• Successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology.
• At least 2 years of experience in the field preferred
• Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) may be required.
