A pharmacy technician assists a pharmacist in the process of filling a prescription. The technician will perform pharmaceutical care tasks under the control and guidance of a licensed pharmacist. A technician must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy and obtain continuing education hours pursuant with that registration yearly. Must have certification from Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB).
Sedentary work performed in office setting. Requires constant hearing, speaking, vision and repetitive hand movement. Requires attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.
