Grand View Health is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Workplace Health and Wellness office and become a valued member of our team.
Medical Assistants perform routine clinical and administrative tasks to keep the office of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently. If you have long-term career goals in healthcare, this is an excellent opportunity.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:30pm; occasional Tuesdays, 1:00pm to 8:00pm in Harleysville. Must be flexible with hours for occasional early start or late finish.
Essential Functions:

• Responsible for taking accurate vital signs, which include, but are not limited to, temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressures and weight, and patient histories.
• Responsible for performing tests such as PFTs, audio tests, vision tests, and drug and alcohol testing and must set up any other tests requested by the physician or mid-level practitioner.
• Gives injections and performs venipuncture.
• Responsible for setting up rooms for physical and paper exams.
• Spins blood samples and completes paperwork properly.
• Responsible for assisting physician and mid-level practitioner during examinations and any other patient-related duties.
• Assists with maintenance of the supply closet required. Responsible for keeping accurate, up-to-date record of drug supplies on hand.
• Screens and redirects telephone calls and walk-in visitors.
• Assists in the collection for clinical data for performance improvement purposes.
• Organizes, maintains and updates files/databases.
• Coordinates scheduling of appointments.
• Assists with check-in, registration and discharge process.
