Grand Rapids Liquidators is Hiring a Product Tester Near Grand Rapids, MI

We are seeking detail-oriented and tech-savvy individuals to join our team as Electronics Testing Technicians. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and evaluating returned Amazon electronics, including earbuds, gaming consoles, computer parts, laptops, and various other consumer electronics. This position offers extremely flexible hours, making it an excellent opportunity for high school and college students seeking part-time work. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of these products, providing valuable feedback to improve customer satisfaction.We are seeking highly motivated individuals for the position of Electronics Testing Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing a wide range of consumer electronics, including phones/tablets, laptops/computers, wifi routers, gaming accessories, motherboards, drones, and more. Your meticulous attention to detail and technical expertise will ensure that our customers receive high-quality, as-described electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

Electronics Inspection and Testing:

Thoroughly inspect and assess incoming consumer electronics for any physical damage, defects, or irregularities.
Follow standardized testing procedures to evaluate the functionality and performance of various electronic devices.
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues using appropriate testing tools and equipment.
Accurately document testing results and maintain detailed records for future reference.

Quality Control and Assurance:

Ensure that all tested electronics are accurately described to ensure customer satisfaction.
Perform functional tests, including hardware and software verification, to validate proper operation.
Collaborate with team members to develop and improve testing methodologies and procedures.

Repairs and Refurbishment:

Carry out basic repairs, such as component replacements or software upgrades, on faulty electronics when possible.
Assist in the refurbishment process, including cleaning, sanitizing, and restoring devices to a like-new condition.
Follow guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety and proper handling of electronic components.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate inventory records of tested, repaired, and refurbished electronics.
Assist in organizing and categorizing the inventory to optimize efficiency and accessibility.
Collaborate with team members to track and order necessary testing equipment and supplies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong technical aptitude and passion for consumer electronics, including smartphones, laptops, gaming devices, and other popular devices.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify defects and irregularities.
  • Familiarity with testing tools, software, and equipment commonly used in electronics testing.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Prior experience with electronics testing, repair, or quality control is a plus.
