Position Summary:
The Marketing and Event Coordinator is responsible for marketing, event and general office/administrative support. In addition to event coordination and marketing, will also perform duties including maintaining membership database, scheduling, and working on special projects. This position requires superior organizational skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively to meet multiple deadlines.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Manage and implement marketing projects including website, social media channels, videos, and other platforms in accordance with strategic plan objectives.
2. Update and maintain the FBA website, including development of blog posts and other special pages.
3. Develop content for newsletters, blog posts, and social media. Distribute according to the marketing communication calendar, including the creation of related graphics.
4. Responsible for leading event coordination in support of the FBA Event Committee from planning through execution while staying within budget and tracking all expenses. Includes conducting program survey, identifying speakers, securing locations and other event contractors.
5. Manage relationships and correspondence with vendors, contractors, volunteers, and staff to ensure event needs and roles are met. Negotiate contracts and services as needed.
6. Lead event setup and tear down for on-site and off-site events.
7. Assist in administrative support to accounting.
8. Compile, verify data, prepare reports and spreadsheets from FBA Database.
9. Complete member CRM profiles and maintain all aspects of FBA database (MemberZone).
10. All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
1. Associate or Bachelor Degree
2. One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in the marketing/event field. Two (2) to five (4) years preferred.
3. Previous experience working within a family-owned business or non-profit a plus.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Have proven computer competencies, including Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel). Wordpress, Canva, Mailchimp, and Acrobat proficiency is a plus.
2. Have a strong work ethic and ability to exercise independent judgment.
3. Have proven written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
4. Strong knowledge of databases and use of databases. CRM database experience preferred.
5. Strong knowledge of social media platforms.
6. Positive, team-oriented individual.
7. Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and implement events.
8. Have proven problem-solving skills and exceptional creativity and the ability to meet deadlines.
9. Flexible schedule that allows occasional event attendance in evenings or early mornings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
