Job description
SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Complies with facility policies and procedures.
2. Assist in preparation of all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
3. Follows standardized recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Chef.
4. Cleans and maintains station while practicing good safety, sanitation and organizational skills. Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
5. Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station, and uses equipment in a safe manner.
6. Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all
storage areas.
7. Responsible for clean up of soiled trays, pots, pans, cookware, dishes, glassware and utensils, properly air dry to prevent “wet nesting” and restocking items to their specified location.
8. Sweep, mop, scrub kitchen floors as well as walk-ins and other designated areas as assigned.
9. Empties all trash/garbage receptacles frequently and cleans them when necessary.
