About the Position

• Imaging Department Coordinator
• Part-Time .9 FTE (72 hours per pay period)
• Days
• On-site at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids
• INTERNAL POSTING THROUGH: 3/21/2024

Job Summary:

The Imaging Department coordinator works under the supervision of the Imaging Department Director and Supervisor. They assist with escorting patients to appropriate areas, communicate with patients, make appointment reminder calls and stock the department. They answer phone calls, monitor the fax machine and maintain office supplies and equipment.

Here's what you'll do when you work here:

• Work closely with Imaging staff and Diagnostic Center Reception
• Answer incoming calls
• Escort patients to their exams
• Call patients 1-2 days prior to their scheduled exam t verify appointment, prep instructions, lab and other necessary info
• Communicate with patients and their families regarding exam times and delays
• Assist patients as-needed
• Monitor fax machine and deliver to appropriate departments
• Fill out daily ROI send out sheet
• Print final reports of monitors and deliver to HIM department and visiting cardiologist
• Fax daily status report to Radiologists
• Gather patient demographic information for Radiologists
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge if medical terminology preferred
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred
• Ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca's policies, vision, mission and values
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance
