Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care and support, utilizing your expertise in medical imaging, medication administration, and physical examinations. This position is open to both experienced nurses and recent graduates. The Licensed Staff Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of the facility residents. The Licensed Staff Nurse communicates with off going and arriving shifts of personnel to assure the continuum of quality of care. The Licensed Staff Nurse makes rounds, evaluates the physical, emotional and social needs of the residents to ensure the staff assigned provides intervention as indicated. Supervises the care provided by the Nursing Assistants assigned to the unit, providing intervention, and education as indicated. Prepares and administers medications and treatments according to procedures. Consults with physicians, receives, records and transcribes orders as required. Makes rounds with physicians when necessary. Reviews resident’s care plans and assures these plans are followed. Documents on records as per policy and procedures of the facility. Participates in the evaluation of the employees working under his/her supervision. Participates in staff meetings and in-services as required.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform physical examinations and health assessments
- Monitor patient vital signs and document observations
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Assist with medical procedures and surgeries
- Triage patients based on their condition and urgency of care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of [state]
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience in a nursing home or memory care setting is a plus
- Knowledge of infant care practices is desirable
- Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in medical imaging, physical examinations, and medication administration
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
