BEACON - Communications and Marketing Coordinator

Join our team at the BEACON Afterschool Program, where we provide enriching
educational experiences for children in our community. We are seeking a
Communications and Marketing Coordinator to enhance our outreach efforts and
promote our programs to parents, students, and stakeholders. This role will play a
crucial part in driving engagement, increasing fundraising, and fostering positive
relationships with our community.
Responsibilities:
1. Create comprehensive marketing plans to promote our afterschool programs,
events, and initiatives. Collaborate with the site admin to identify target
demographics and key messaging.
2. Produce compelling content for various marketing channels including, email
newsletters, website, and printed materials. Craft engaging stories, testimonials,
and updates to showcase the value and impact of our programs. Plan and
schedule regular posts, respond to inquiries, and actively engage with followers
to build a vibrant community.
3. Design visually appealing graphics, flyers, and promotional materials that align
with our mission. Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all
communication channels.
4. Plan and execute promotional events, open houses, and information sessions.
Coordinate logistics and oversee event promotion to attract attendees.
5. Develop and maintain communication channels with parents and guardians to
provide updates, answer questions, and gather feedback. Ensure timely and
informative communication to build trust and transparency.
6. Provide regular reports and insights to inform future strategies and
optimizations.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create engaging content for

diverse audiences.

• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Creativity, initiative, and a passion for promoting education and youth

development.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate

effectively with stakeholders of all levels.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Starting salary is $40, 373 for a 1696 hour contract. This position has benefits.
