About the Role:

The Regional Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager reports directly to the Senior HSE Director and must possess significant experience in the infrastructure construction industry. This role requires 20-30% frequent travel to project sites in Nebraska and Colorado to fulfill job responsibilities and demands comprehensive knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.


As a Regional HSE Manager at Graham, you will:

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents in effectively communicating all elements of the HSE Management System (MS) to operational personnel and Project Coordinators
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills by advising project management on maintaining optimal safety levels and ensuring regulatory compliance on job sites
  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing short and long-term strategies to achieve divisional goals
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, analyze trends, and initiate processes to address performance issues related to maintaining safe and healthy worksites
  • Compile and summarize HSE statistical data, identify undesirable trends, and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist project teams in facilitating and completing Group Risk Assessments
  • Conduct site safety performance audits and evaluate HSE MS implementation, recommending corrective actions as necessary and ensuring follow-up
  • Contribute expertise to the investigation of all incidents as applicable
  • Report on the effectiveness of the HSE MS to the Senior HSE Director
  • Review and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards as required to ensure consistency with the HSE MS and compliance with site-specific regulatory requirements
  • Assist, conduct, and coach workers in Behavior Based Safety (BBS) and Field Level Risk Assessment (FLRA)
  • Support the development and/or review of Group Risk Assessments and the development of Project-specific Safety Plans (PSSP)


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Post-high school education in a related field or equivalent combination of post-high school education, trade certification, or training and work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HSE Management experience in a role related to HSE or a related discipline
  • Industrial and infrastructure construction field experience
  • Solid understanding of HSE Management Systems (CSA-Z1000, OHSAS 18001, ANSI Z10)
  • This role will be based in Omaha, NE, and requires 20-30% travel to Colorado. You may also be assigned to a project/site location for an extended period of time
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $110k-$145k
