Graham Hollis APC is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal Near San Diego, CA

We are seeking a full-time Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, employment litigation a plus. Candidates must have a paralegal certificate and be up to date with CLE. A successful candidate will be a fast-learner, self-starting, proactive, flexible, and a team player. Spanish-speaking a plus!

This individual will work with our web-based practice management system for client-related calendaring, tasks, documents and time entries to ensure that matters are progressing quickly and efficiently; draft employment-related documents; proofreading, preparing and amending documentation; analyze records and other evidence; perform research through Westlaw and/or other research materials; liaising with clients, where appropriate, on the progress of their matter; and maintain accurate time records.

Qualifications:

- Energetic, hands-on, self- starter who can succeed with minimal supervision.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills are a must.

- Strong knowledge of calendaring deadlines (motions, subpoenas, discovery, etc.)

- Strong knowledge of court rules and procedures, both State and Federal.

- Strong knowledge of electronic filing in both State and Federal court via One Legal and CM/ECF.

- Ability to organize and prioritize.

- Ability to work well under pressure.

- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

- Must be punctual in reporting to work and maintain satisfactory attendance.

- Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

- Assisting with preparation of pleadings and discovery.

- Editing and finalizing litigation documents in accordance with the firm’s standards.

- Calendaring court dates/deadlines.

- Scheduling meetings, depositions, mediations, and other appointments as necessary.

- Filing documents in State and Federal Courts, including e-filing.

- Performing research through Westlaw and/or other research materials.

- Cite-checking pleadings.

- Organizing pleadings and exhibits for filings.

- Providing overall attorney support.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation between $70,000 - $90,000, based on experience.
  • Flexible schedule; hybrid potential after first 6 months.
