Graf & Company is a tax and accounting firm in southeast Iowa founded in 1950. We are professional, honest, customer-centric and our goal is to serve our clients with exceptional, value-added tax and accounting services.

Duties:

• General bookkeeping duties for small business and agricultural clients: enter checks, reconcile bank accounts, bill paying, etc.
• Payroll for a variety of business clients: including timely tax deposits etc.
• Quarterly payroll tax reports
• Sales tax reporting
• Communicates (both verbal and written) with clients, peers, taxing agencies, and banking contacts
• Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients or accountants
• Generate 1099’s and W-2’s for year-end reporting
• Help at front desk: answer phone, greet clients etc.
• Client service manager for assigned clients and tax professional

Successful candidate

• High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office products
• Experience with QuickBooks, proficiency preferred
• Bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reports
• Experience with payroll and sales tax returns
• Exceptional ability to multi task in an extremely fast paced environment
• Friendly personality, pleasant demeanor, and team player
• Attention to details and accuracy is a must
• Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
