Graeter's Inc is Hiring a Second Shift Baker Near Cincinnati, OH

Graeter’s is a fun and exciting 4th generation family-owned company that is looking for candidates to help us achieve our goal of providing our customers with the best service and products available anywhere.
Responsible for the daily production of all baked pastries, including but not limited to pies, muffins, danishes, cakes, and yeast donuts. This includes but not limited to proofing, frying and glazing yeast donuts, making cake donut mixes and frying and glazing them, making donut glaze and roll icings, and assembling, proofing, baking and finishing all baked pastries.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 2PM to 10PM
THIS IS THE JOB FOR YOU IF:
- You have speed, accuracy, and pay attention to details: Being able to ensure bakery product reaches the sorter in a timely fashion, while maintaining quality
- You have good judgment and prioritization: Being able to set production so that product is done on time
- You can independent critical think and problem solving: Able to act independently to spot product that is not up to quality standards and to be able to react and it corrected.
- You have strong communication skills: Communicate effectively with other team members to resolve any questions or concerns that require resolution.
- You have a sense of urgency, time sensitivity, and reliability: High level of urgency to completing tasks within necessary time frames. Also, reliable in terms of attendance.
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Must be 18 years old
- High School degree with relevant work experience
- 1-year relevant job experience.
- Donut frying experience in a high volume bakery is a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Able to lift 50 pound items waist high or above over the course of the shift (a full donut screen-48 donuts-and accessories weighs about 16 pounds and weighs no more than 25 pounds after they are glazed)
- Must be able to stand on your feet for several hours at a time.
- Physical dexterity is a must.
- Have good vision (with or without glasses) and be able to read work instructions and production sheets.
- Must be able to work in a warm production area in the summer and can withstand going in and out of the freezer as needed
