A local Bronx coffee company is seeking a bright, motivated Fulfillment Assistant in Hunts Point to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, hourly position with the opportunity for more hours on an as needed basis.

The Fulfillment Assistant is responsible for reading and building orders and then wrapping pallets, while documenting the expiration dates and batch numbers of each order. They will also be responsible for rotating the stock in our walk-ins based on the FIFO method (First In First Out) and verifying the amounts produced by the production team. The fulfillment assistant will learn all aspects of the department and eventually become relief for the Fulfillment Manager when on PTO.

Responsibilities:

-Pack and ship product properly under the direction of the Fulfillment Manager

-Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the department (dusting, sweeping, mopping etc.)

-Updating and maintaining a mix of paper and digital records

-Learn to create production schedules

-Packs/wraps orders as required by item/delivery type, and prepares for shipment

-Ensures that orders are staged correctly for each delivery

-Participate in conducting warehouse inventory counts as required

-Operates any material handling equipment following established safety guidelines

-Assist in other department when necessary

Requirements:

-Attention to detail and organization is a must!

-Ability to work autonomously

-Experience with picking and packing

-Comfortable communicating questions or concerns in the department

-Must be able to maintain a sanitary working environment

-Ability to lift 50lbs

-Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift

-Forklift/pallet jack experience a plus

-Proficiency with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)

Details:

-Hours: Mon-Friday 9am-5pm (to start, might change)

-Pay: $16/hour
