Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Public Accountant to join our team. As a Certified Public Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our clients. Your expertise in private equity, double entry bookkeeping, financial report interpretation, general ledger reconciliation, and accounting will be crucial in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with regulations.

CPA: Tax and Audit

Grady CPAs, PC, a growing firm located in Rhinebeck, NY, is currently seeking a self-motivated team player with 2 years of recent public accounting experience to lead audit, financial statement and tax engagements for privately held, small to mid-size businesses, business owners and non-profit organizations. Working directly with clients while providing business consulting and strategies for growth, you will assist with audit and financial statement engagements for condominiums, homeowner associations and non-profit organizations; prepare corporate and individual tax returns; complete tax planning and research and cultivate professional client relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent
  • CPA license or on track to obtain CPA license
  • 2 years of recent public accounting experience encompassing progressive scope and responsibilities
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem solving, client service, leadership and PC skills including Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiency
  • Ability to professionally lead accounting engagements, identify and resolve complex accounting issues, juggle multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

  • Perform attestation engagements including compilations, reviews, and audits in accordance with professional standards
  • Lead preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures and management letter comments
  • Regularly communicate with clients to request necessary materials for completion of engagements
  • Perform accounting and tax research
  • Preparation of tax returns
