General Summary:

Under the direction and supervision of the responsible Registered Nurse, performs specific patient care duties to provide clinical treatment and to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient using the nursing process.
Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.
Recognizes and participates in own continuing education.
Strives to fulfill the organization's mission, vision, values, philosophy and goals.
Reports to the Nurse Manager of assigned unit.
Maintains a collaborative working relationship with the interdisciplinary team and leadership.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must have applied for RN licensure examination.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Must obtain RN licensure within 180 days of start date of Grad Nurse position.
Failure to obtain RN licensure within designated timeframe will result in termination of the Graduate Nurse position.
