The statements herein describe the scope of this role's primary responsibility and essential functions but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work duties and responsibilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The Teacher, who reports directly to the School Principal, is responsible for teaching and educating students according to standards promulgated by the Arkansas Department of Education (“Department”), striving to teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities, and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to their care by the district.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans, prepares, and delivers lessons consistent with and in alignment with the district’s curricula.
  • Possesses and deploys various instructional strategies to meet different learning styles and specific needs of students assigned to their class.
  • Assesses, records, and reports all students' development, progress, attainment, and behavior.
  • Embraces an attitude of being a continual learner, facilitator of learning, and reflective practitioner.
  • Mentors, advises and encourages students as needed and appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Valid Arkansas teaching certificate in secondary Computer Science preferred.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of online database management systems.
  • Evidence of ability to work with diverse student populations.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time
