I have an immediate need for an in-home college statistical analysis tutor in Columbia in-between Killian & Wildewood; by the Live on the Rock Church & Spring Valley Country Club. The student is pursuing a doctorate degree in Human Services at Walden University. He is currently taking a statistical analysis class (RSCH 8210: Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis) online and wants to work with a tutor for support.

He wants to work with a tutor who has knowledge of APA style/formatting as well as knowledge of IBM SPSS statistics software. He would benefit from working with the tutor who can provide a greater understanding of some of the technical aspects of statistical reasoning and research, including graphs. The work must be submitted in AP style/formatting.

His goals are to get ongoing support with assistance in analyzing discussion, and submitting documents and weekly assignments due on Thursdays and Sundays.

The student wants to meet for 90 minute sessions (1.5 hours) once a week. He is available Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 7am-12pm & 3pm-7pm.

COURSE DESCRIPTION - RSCH 8210 Quantitative Reasoning and Analysis - In this research course, students are provided with the opportunity to develop core knowledge and skills for designing and carrying out quantitative research at the doctoral level, including the application of statistical concepts and techniques. Students explore classical common statistical tests, the importance of the logic of inference, and social change implications of conducting quantitative research and producing knowledge. Students approach statistics from a problem-solving perspective with emphasis on selecting appropriate statistical tests for a research design. Students use statistical software to derive statistics from quantitative data and interpret and present results.

Job Requirements

  • Tutor must be willing to work in-person, face to face at the student's home in Columbia in-between Killian & Wildewood; by the Live on the Rock Church & Spring Valley Country Club.
  • He wants to work with a tutor who has knowledge of APA style/formatting as well as knowledge of IBM SPSS statistics software.
  • Tutor must be available for 90 minute (1.5 hour) sessions once a week any day Monday through Wednesday either between 7am-12pm or 3pm-7pm.
  • Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)
  • Due to insurance requirements applicants must not be a minor.
