Gracious Hospitality Management is Hiring a Singapore-Based Assistant General Manager Near New York, NY

We are seeking to hire a dynamic and experiencedAssistant General Managerto oversee and lead our award-winning hospitality team at our newest international location:COTE Singapore.

A minimum of 4 years experience in a high-volume, upscale dining managerial role is required.The ideal candidate will work closely with team members to provide exceptional, engaged service to our customers and promote an environment of respect, support, and grace in the dining room

Duties & Essential Functions (these are not all-inclusive):.

  • Maintains guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings to initiate improvements. Building relationships with repeat guests.
  • Opens or closes restaurant; Completes opening or closing checklist, as applicable; monitor closing/opening shifts of managers and chefs within restaurant.
  • Ensures proper team member coverage per the needs of business while maintaining target labor costs; oversee staff schedules as delegated by the General Manager.
  • Conducts facility walk-throughs multiple times per day when on duty to ensure the highest standards of safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and organization are met; addresses all health violations immediately.
  • Promotes and practices safe work habits through trainings, education and day-to-day management; identifies and resolves potential safety hazards; ensures accidents are documented following proper procedure, conducts initial investigation and determination of root cause of safety incidents in the interest of maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Approve any maintenance or repairs needed through General Manager.
  • Hires, trains, supervises, manages, coaches and evaluate all members of the Front of House.
  • Acts as role model for outstanding service; continuously works to elevate service standards, and personally embodies hospitality in daily actions.
  • Reviews daily time punches for accuracy; address time clock abuse (clocking in early or late) via coaching and/or documentation.
  • Resolves team member or customer conflicts through Company compliant handling procedure
  • Identifies staffing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training needs of qualified candidates; Facilitates on-going training and development of current staff; Work with FOH managers to coach and counsel team members for improved performance, documenting developmental plans as necessary.
  • Builds morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team members’ input is encouraged.
  • Assists General Manager in managing performance review process for all FOH employees.
  • Must be able to lift heavy boxes.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods of time over multiple floors.
  • Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing is required.
  • Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as the business dictates..
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
