Gracent is Hiring an Occupational Therapist, Pediatric Near Evanston, IL

Step into an enriching role as a pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) with us, where you have the freedom to craft your work schedule to suit your lifestyle. We are looking for someone with availability in the afternoons and evenings until 7:00pm. However, with flexibility and autonomy over your schedule, many of our OTs often enjoy the benefits of a flexible 4-day work week.

Compensation is designed to reflect the valuable work you do and your years of experience. When providing an average of 28 hours of care each week, you will earn between $70,000 and $80,000 annually. When providing even more hours of care, your earnings will increase to $90,000 to $100,000 . This model not only rewards your dedication and commitment to delivering high-quality care but also offers the flexibility to align with your personal and professional goals.

Requirements:

  • You have a master's degree in Occupational Therapy and an Illinois state license in good standing.
  • You are eager to work with pediatric clients and to design and administer treatment programs to increase clients’ levels of functioning in ADLs, daily routines, and age-appropriate occupations including play and feeding.

Physical demands:

  • Required to sit, stand, bend and walk regularly; lift and/or move up to 45lbs pounds.
  • Visual and auditory ability enough for written and verbal communication.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Your role as an Occupational Therapist:

Our interdisciplinary approach means that you will collaborate with other Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Neuropsychologists. As a member of our team, you will:
  • Design and administer treatment programs to increase clients’ levels of functioning in ADLs, daily routines, and age-appropriate occupations including play and feeding.
  • Make appropriate cross referrals to other disciplines as needed
  • Provide activities to assess and address client’s executive functioning skills, attention, and coordination (fine and gross-motor)
  • Design home programs and instructs clients and families in carrying out such programs.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, such as doctors, teachers, and pediatric therapists, to ensure our clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Keep detailed records of progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
