Grace Veterinary Center is Hiring an Associate Veterinarian Near Mokena, IL

About us

Tired of working weekends? Tired of being on-call? Tired of late nights?

Grace Veterinary Center is a family owned, 1.5 doctor small animal practice located in Mokena, IL. We are seeking a part-time or full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team. Our mission is to create a positive work environment for our staff as well as provide quality medicine for our patients. We pride ourselves on client communication and value a work-life balance.

Our practice offers high quality diagnostics including Idexx in house labs, digital radiology and digital dental radiology, therapy laser and ultrasound. We have separate surgical and dental suites that are equipped with Cardell monitoring equipment, suction, electrocautery and more. We are an appointment based practice that offers 30-minute appointment slots, adequate staff to doctor ratio, well-trained CVTs and vet assistants, and a positive work environment.

Duties:
- Perform comprehensive medical examinations on dogs and cats.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in animals
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed
- Perform surgical procedures, including spaying and neutering
- Provide dental care, including cleanings and extractions
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and behavior
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide quality care to animals
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Illinois.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and diseases
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and staff members
- Experience in fear free, nutrition, animal behavior or any other specialty is a plus
