Grace Pointe a premier Senior Care Community located at 1919 68th Avenue in Greeley, CO. has an opening for a Plant Operations and Transportation Assistant. Applicant must have at least 3 years experience in building maintenance and a clean driving record. Must be willing to take on different types of maintenance projects and carry them to completion. In addition must be willing to take residents to and from doctor appointments, occasionally taking a resident to the ER or picking them up after hours. Physically able to climb ladders, move furniture for residents that are either moving in or out. Must have the interpersonal skills to kindly and compassionately interact with elderly residents and their family members, as well as other staff members both in house and at hospitals/clinics.

Job Duties:

*Demonstrate honesty and integrity in the care and use of resident and facility property

*Perform routine maintenance and repair of the facility and equipment to include plumbing, (snaking clogged drains, broken pipes, faucets, calking, etc.) some experience in carpentry, mechanical (changing out rooftop HVAC filters) as directed and in accordance with established procedures.

*Perform maintenance of walls, floors, ceiling, including drywall patches and texture/painting.

*Assist in preparing rooms for resident move-in or change of rooms.

*Maintain a valid drivers license of resident transportation

*Must be familiar with using a computer, Microsoft word, email, etc.

*Ability to help schedule follow up doctor appointments for residents.

*Ability to jump in and help other departments with tasks when needed.

*Must be able to follow infection control precautions both in and outside the facility.

*Must be able to share the workload, with two other department employees, of a facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year including holidays and weekends.

*Must be reliable to be at work on time and work standard schedule each week of at least 40 hours per week with schedule typically 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.
