PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Reviews contract documents and requirements and coordinates project. |
2. Prepares and updates project schedules for contractors and/or subcontractors. Maintains database of active projects. |
3. Responsible for pre-job conferences and attends all required project meetings. |
4. Handles project correspondence, including but not limited to, schedules, RFI, proposals and daily reports. |
5. Confirms material and equipment requirements with Foreman. Coordinates submittals of material specifications with internal contact as needed. |
6. Ensures availability of equipment and materials. Orders material, schedules delivery to meet project requirements, and coordinates the maintenance and repair of equipment with Fleet Maintenance department. |
7. Responsible for profitability of all assigned projects. Provides project billing information to accounting and follows up to assure payment. Reviews cost data and provides forecasting information regarding projects. Investigates and initiates new methods and cost-saving procedures. |
8. Conducts final project audit and reviews project procedures to ensure continued improvement. |
9. Responsible for customer relations for projects. |
10. Responsible for estimating change orders. |
11. Responsible for time sheets, travel, and clerical work for projects 12. Oversee manufacturing and staff at the SS-1h Emulsion Plant 13. Facilitate maintenance and repairs on Emulsion Plant 14. Uphold QC and safety measures during manufacturing of Emulsion 15. Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS: Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree within the field of Engineering preferred. Minimum of 3 years construction industry experience and 2 years Emulsion manufacturing experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education/experience. Computer Skills: Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook Math: Proficiency in mathematics to perform daily tasks. Reading: Excellent skills to read and understand job specifications and technical information. Ability to read blueprints. Licenses: Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract required |

Grace Pacific LLC was founded in 1920 by three brothers who incorporated in 1931. Grace Brothers Limited operated for many years as a construction materials supplier. Grace Brothers purchased a quarry at Nanakuli and asphalt paving plants at Halawa and on Molokai from Nanakuli Limestone & Gravel Company in 1973. In 1984, Grace purchased the stock of Pacific Concrete & Rock Company and secured the lease to the present rock quarry at Makakilo and merged the two companies together and created Grace Pacific. Grace Pacific diversified its product lines beyond highway paving and reconstruction to in...clude the manufacture of asphaltic concrete and crushed basalt, limestone, and sand aggregates. Grace Pacific acquired Hawaiian Bitumuls & Paving Company in 2001, Niu Construction in 2002, SUN Industries in 2003, Mid Pac Petroleum in2011 and established three joint venture companies (LLC) - GP/RM Prestress in 2006, Maui Paving in 2006 and GLP Asphalt in 2007.
