Position Responsibilities: Grace Mountain Ranch is excited to add a superstar instructor to our team as we aim to change the world with horses. The Lesson Instructor role is the heart of our growing organization and is essential for providing quality services to our participants. As an Instructor, your primary responsibilities are to provide horseback riding lessons to students. You must have experience in natural horsemanship, competent riding skills, and some experience in being an instructor. You will be teaching people the mechanics of how to ride horses safely.
Responsibilities include goal setting, lesson planning, arena set up, participant oversight, volunteer support, equine class management, and recording of class outcomes. Additionally, other responsibilities include taking care of horses, getting horses prepared for lessons, tacking up horses and making sure all safety measures are met. You will also act as a mentor to students, not only improving their horsemanship skills, but also improving confidence and character. You will need to enjoy working with youth and possess creativity in lesson planning. This is a physical job that will require lots of time on your feet, walking, and lifting heavy saddles.
