Schedule: 8 hours per day/ 2 days a week
Pay: $15.75 Per Hour

Grace Inspired Ministries, located in Bucks County, PA was formed in 2017 through the affiliation of the Lutheran Community at Telford and the Community at Rockhill.

Specific Duties:Assure that the scheduled activity programs are executed.
Complete necessary forms as required by the department.
Encourage residents to participate in daily activities; and, provide materials and supplies as needed.
Feed and clean pets used for pet therapy as scheduled.
Assist with transportation of residents to and from activities. Follow wheelchair safety rules.
Attend in-services provided by facility and off-site as required by Activity Director.
Attend departmental planning meetings and offer ideas and suggestions for appropriate activities.
Assist more mobile and easy to transfer residents in the bathroom.
Assist residents in ordering and serving meals and feeding when necessary.
Move tables and chairs to prepare area for activities.
Clean and prepare dining area for activities, as necessary.
Assist the Activity Director on field trips.
Operate sound system, DVD's, CD's, etc.
Deliver mail daily to residents and read mail to those who can not read.

Position Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EducationHigh school diploma.
High school diploma with additional courses in geriatrics and/or activities, preferred.
ExperienceSome volunteer experience working with seniors.
One Year Experience In Geriatrics Setting, Preferred.Professional Membership, Licensures, CertificationsCertified CNA, preferred.
Language Ability:This individual must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner in order to communicate with residents, employees, family members, volunteers and the public.
Must have ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from residents and the general public.
Math Ability:Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Reasoning Ability:Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Computer Skills:Must have a basic understanding of how to operate a computer.
Must be able to set up video/audio and slide and overhead projector.

This individual must be capable of climbing ladders/stairs using feet and legs and/or hands and arms; must be able to stoop, kneel, bend and crouch. This individual is required to stand for sustained periods of time, and is frequently required to walk. The person must be able to push and/or pull using the upper extremities to exert force (i.e., push residents in wheelchairs and gerichairs), occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and frequently use hands to pick up, finger or feel objects. This individual will be responsible to assist with the evacuation of residents.
Perform tasks that required eye/hand coordination and simple manipulation skills (i.e., crafts, operations of audio/visual equipment, computer, copier, fax, telephone, etc).
About the Organization Founded in 1935, the Community at Rockhill (www.communityatrockhill.org) is a residential community for adults 65 and older located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As a Life Plan Community, Rockhill offers a continuum of care that includes Residential Living, Personal Care for adults who need assistance with daily activities, and Health Care for individuals in need of 24-hour support. Rockhill also offers Adult Day Services for individuals who need a stimulating place to spend the day. Rockhill’s supportive family empowers residents to live spirited, fulfilling lives exactly as they choose—from active and engaged to peaceful and private. Rockhill consists of 206 independent living units, 53 personal care units, and 90 skilled nursing beds.
Since 1962, the Lutheran Community at Telford (www.lctelford.org) has provided exceptional services for seniors located in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Telford offers a full continuum of care, from independent residential cottages and convenient apartment homes to comfortable personal care accommodations. Shepherd’s Way memory support neighborhood and a recently constructed Healthcare Pavilion give individuals access to the health care and support they need at all hours. The dedicated staff ensures that residents enjoy the best quality of life while maintaining the highest possible level of independence. Telford consists of 245 independent living units, 125 personal care beds in 97 units, and 75 skilled nursing beds.
