DESCRIPTION: The Financial Administrator is a part-time, up to full-time position that works alongside the Director of Finance/CFO and financial team to further our church vision of experiencing and expressing the essence of Jesus Christ for our staff and our church body.

REPORTS TO: CFO

STATUS: Part-time (25 hours) to Full-Time (35 hours)

COMPENSATION: Salary range DOE, up to $60,000. Full-time package includes comprehensive benefits including paid health insurance, paid time off, matching retirement plan, cell phone allowance, and additional voluntary benefits.

EDUCATION
Accounting Degree (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE
Ministry or Non-Profit: at least five years (Preferred)
Accounting: at least five years (Preferred)

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Be experienced in finances, administration, organization, and communication
Be able to manage a budget and calendar
Have a competent understanding of computers, copier/printers, and other office machines
Be able to administrate with a variety of software, hardware, and practical tools
Be able to organize and maintain multiple aspects of ministry simultaneously
Be willing to receive additional training and attend pertinent conferences/classes

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Financial Administrator helps contribute to the teams effectiveness by:

Providing support for Sunday mornings, if full-time, in the following ways:
- Being present for all services
- Assisting with collection and accounting of offering
- Scan and process incoming monies
- Use accounting software to record contributions
- Prepare and record deposits
- Communicate with contributors receipt of their donations

Providing support for Finance & Accounting team:
- Create weekly report summary of financial activity
- Update and maintain chart of accounts in the accounting software program
- Complete month end and year-end close procedures
- Provide monthly ministry YTD Budget vs Actual reports
- Review expense reports for accuracy and reclassify expenses as necessary
- Create, run, and analyze donor reports in order to identify giving patterns
- Reconcile online giving transactions between giving platform and the accounting program
- Manage credit card reconciliation through Divvy
- Reconcile bank statements
- Help facilitate yearly audits
- Work closely with the CFO on annual budget
- Create systems and reporting to monitor YTD expenses
- Monitor, evaluate, and make recommendations to help Grace Chapel’s financial processes
- Look for and recommend spending and budget efficiencies to save funds where applicable
- Facilitate quarterly and yearly giving statements
- Data entry of approved invoices
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports for the church body
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Finance

Providing support for Human Resources:
- Maintain personnel data in files
- Assist in preparing 1099’s
- Assist with open enrollment and make recommendations for any changes that need to be made

Serving on the Administration team by contributing:
- Administrative perspective and insights relevant to church-wide ministries
- Ideas and insights for best practices to be applied in the future
- General support to other members of the administrative team and the GC staff
- Participate in “all hands on deck” events as required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
