Grace Ballet & Acrobatics Studio is finishing up it's 25th year and loves serving the Des Moines area. We offer ballet, acrobatics, pointe, tap and jazz dance for ages 2.5 through high school. We are a Christian dance studio and we enjoy bringing the freedom of Holy Spirit into everything we do. Our team is pretty amazing right now so we are looking for just the right person to join in an encouraging work enviornment where your voice is heard and important.

Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your love for dance and inspire students of all ages. This is a part-time position.

This job is for August-mid-June with substitue and training hours available immediately.

Duties:

- Learn and implement a set curriculum for various age groups and skill levels

- Teach dance technique, choreography, and routines

- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills

- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

- Coordinate and organize your students during dance recitals and performances

- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to ensure smooth operations of the dance program

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Dance Instructor or in a related role

- Strong knowledge of various dance styles, such as ballet, jazz, acro, contemporary, etc.

- Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate dance techniques to students

- Experience working with students of different age groups, from preschool to adults

- Excellent classroom management skills

- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and curriculum development

- Passion for teaching and inspiring others through dance

Skills:

- Experience working with children

- Classroom management

- Experience working with students of all ages

- Lesson planning

- Creating choreography
