GPS Education Partners (GPSEd) is a non-profit organization that utilizes an innovative education model to build strategic partnerships with education, business, and the community. Our partnerships enable us to accelerate students interested in technical careers, by preparing them for life after graduation through a credentialed work-based learning solution.

GPSEd is seeking candidates with proven success in Alternative Education to fill a year-round full-time opening starting in the summer/fall of 2024. This role is responsible for two cohorts of students, with class sizes averaging 15-18 students. Our small classes enable our instructors to develop closer relationships with students and offer more personalized guidance. Our students are able to put character development lessons into immediate practice in real-life work experiences. If you crave more autonomy in your educational delivery, and connecting the right resources to help high school students grow and develop, this may be a great fit for you. This position will based in one of our manufacturing partners in the Greater Milwaukee Area. Previous experience in manufacturing is a plus.

Essential Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Ensure highly professional instructional practices in the execution of innovative curriculum in all subjects for students, including general math. Classes are primarily held at the local manufacturer 5 days a week.
• Facilitate and develop positive relationships with students, parents, school district leaders, and business mentors at assigned location to promote the GPSEd program and drive strong execution.
• Ensure comprehensive assessment of the student’s performance and provide feedback regularly.
• Develop project-based learning opportunities to ensure concept mastery through multiple subject areas and execute blended learning with our online learning management system.
• Represent and promote GPSEd at special events, in civic and community organizations, and through business partner interactions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, K-12 teaching license, and 3-5 years teaching experience required.
• Willingness to learn and teach multiple subjects
• Wisconsin Teaching License in Alternative Education (952) is a plus.
• Special Education experience is a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
